Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Professional Conduct

My Commitment

Operator Accounting Insights exists to help small business owners make better financial decisions through clear information, honest advice, and reliable service.

I believe every client deserves to be treated with dignity, professionalism, and respect. I am committed to creating an environment where people can do business without discrimination, harassment, or unnecessary barriers.

As a solo accounting practice, these principles are reflected in every client interaction and every professional decision I make.

What This Means in Practice

I strive to:

*Treat every client fairly and consistently, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.

*Communicate in clear, plain language so clients can confidently understand their financial information.

*Be mindful of different communication styles, cultural backgrounds, and levels of financial knowledge.

*Make reasonable accommodations for clients with disabilities whenever practical.

*Provide objective, evidence-based professional advice that is in the client’s best interests.

*Continue developing my knowledge of accessibility, effective communication, and serving an increasingly diverse small business community.

Equal Access to Services

Services are offered to businesses that are a good professional fit based on factors such as:

*the services requested;
*my capacity;
*professional competence;
*ethical and regulatory requirements;
*and whether I believe I can provide meaningful value.

Client engagements are not accepted or declined based on personal characteristics unrelated to the professional services being provided.

Professional Conduct

I am committed to conducting business with integrity, confidentiality, and mutual respect. I ask that all interactions with Operator Accounting Insights be conducted professionally. This includes communication by email, telephone, video conference, social media, and in person.

The following behaviours are not acceptable:

*discrimination or harassment;
*abusive, threatening, or intimidating behaviour;
*hateful or discriminatory language;
*retaliation against anyone who raises a legitimate concern;
*or conduct that creates an unsafe or hostile environment.

I reserve the right to decline or terminate a professional relationship where these standards are not respected, subject to my professional obligations and applicable laws.

Accessibility

If accommodations would help you communicate with me or access my services, please let me know. I will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests whenever practical and consistent with my professional responsibilities.

Continuous Improvement

Building an inclusive professional practice is an ongoing process. I periodically review my policies, communications, and client experience to identify opportunities to improve accessibility, clarity, fairness, and service quality.

My goal is straightforward: to provide every client with objective financial guidance, exceptional service, and a professional relationship built on respect, trust, and integrity.
